Warren Shaw has been playing drums longer than most people have been alive. He has played everything from avant-garde to mainstream pop, from classical and klezmer and jazz and fusion to off-Broadway.

“Nothing compares to playing the drums,” says Warren. “I’ve done a lot of things in my life, as a lawyer, a teacher, a writer, and a historian. But, as a drummer I am the band’s conductor -- its voltage flow regulator. The music goes the way I direct it to, period. That’s a big responsibility, but when it all works, playing music is simply the greatest feeling I have ever experienced.”
